Government@24/7  newsletter to foster collaboration among e-Government practitioners from the globe

Information and communication technologies have been playing an important role not only in enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of various organizations ; but also seen as an important indicator of socio economic progress of a country. Lots of initiatives are taken by the governments world over in utilizing the potential of ICT and new media thus enabling e-Government.

e-Government is a resource intensive activity and governments, particularly in developing and underdeveloped world, having limited resources need to know about the better practices and project management skills whereas the developed countries can learn from the developing countries about the innovative ways of implementing cost effective e-Government solutions. In order to enable e-Government practitioners, researchers, academicians and government officers share their knowledge and experiences, SPeG in association with Danish Technological Institute have decided to bring out a bimonthly newsletter titled "Government@24/7" which will cover the developments in the field and enable a collaboration among the practitioners.

The newsletter will be sent to all the subscribers on their email in a PDF format as well as published online. Prominent experts from more than ten countries have joined hands as the members of the advisory board of the newsletter to help guide shaping the content structure and experts from more than 27 countries have volunteered to act as country editors. The organizers feel that this collective effort will be of great use in replication of best practices and innovations on a global basis and will accelerate e-Government initiatives.

To subscribe to newsletter or know more on how to contribute to the newsletter, please send an email to Government@24/7.
